![]() There's a true widesceeen patch available here: (Make sure to switch to 16:9 otherwise you'll just get a squashed image rather then proper widescreen) ![]() Point is, the whole process of getting the "best" version of each DQ is messy and almost entirely requires mods and fan translations to find. There's also the insane omission of party chat in DQIV on the DS, though there's a mod that inserts them back in from the translated mobile version. I've been particularly interested in DQV, as I had originally started it on DS, but then recently restarted the fan-translated PS2 version on the Steam Deck, which has nicer visuals and an orchestrated OST (but lacks the extra wife.not "waifu", but actual "wife") option from the DS version. Finding out which version of each entry is a lot trickier as there always seems to be something missing from each re-release, not to mention wildly different visual styles and even gameplay changes.Īll I know definitively is that the Definitive Edition of Dragon Quest XI is the way to go, especially the PC version with just a few graphical mods. ![]() To date, I've only completed two games in the entire series, DQVIII (PS2) and DQXI (PC.well to be more specific, I started the DE on Switch, moved the save over to Xbox Gamepass, then finally finished it after so many years on PC). A companion piece to my previous thread, this time with a series I have a lot less familiarity with. ![]()
